  • The alley stall Mark Wien reviewed at You Tube two years ago was "Nai Uu Pork Leg Stew" , a famous street stall located at 495 Phlap Phla Chai Road . If one goes to Google Street View ; one can see the pic of the lady Mark Wien interviewed at the stall. But when one clicks the link provided by Mark Wien; one will come to this Shop - "Hia Uu Pork Leg Stew" 430 Mittraphan Road , Pom Prap Not too sure what exactly happened . Did the lady passed the baton to the son ? Closed her long time stall at 495 Phlap Phla Chai Road and moved here ? Incidentally the prices have also gone up plenty at this shop

  • Mark wiens posted about this place. Came down to try. Was there at about 8am. Short queue but she was fast in chopping up the pork legs. Got my food in 10mins. Many people ordered in advanced to takeaway, shows that it is really popular amongst the locals whom ordered in advance. My khao kha moo order comes with a hardboiled egg at just 60baht. Enjoyed it with the chilli provided on table. Simple and delicious. Eat if you stay within the vicinity, there is no need to travel just for this.

  • Went early morning (6am) with jet lag and they gave me the best pork leg on rice ever! - apparently it gets very busy later on apparently.

  • A small push cart, a little unassuming, but non stop flow of customers. People kept coming, stopped by the roadside, order packed and go. With this non stop flow of customers, you know the food is good. Ordered a plate of pork trotter rice. Looked really normal but on first bite, I realized what all the hype was about. The meat was super tender and flavorful. Every bite felt like the meat melted in my mouth. Good fat to meat ratio. Egg was braised fully. The only downside they open from 5 am to 9.30 am. Definitely go try it out.

  • Ordered 3 plates and the cost was 180 baht (60 baht a plate). Food was great. If you are averse to street dining, you can order take away. Food is rather fatty, however you can specify the leaner parts. The moo ping (pork skewer) cost 11 baht each and is worth buying. There is also soup available, unfortunately it sold out during our visit at around 7.45am.
